After a report back session to the entire group on the work that was accomplished, the Global Health Forum closed with a keynote address by Mr. Navid Hanif from the Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) at the United Nations. Mr. Hanif invited participants to work together in “Uniting for Health” and offered the support of the United Nations ECOSOC body as a place in which to enter into the global conversation on health.
The Global Health Planning committee will meet in early 2010 to discuss the next steps for Global Health collaborations in the State of New York. If you are interested in joining the conversation, please contact info@amsny.org
