case development

AMSNY has sponsored several case-writing workshops, where participants have developed clinical cases with the assistance of National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME) specialists and Henry Pohl, MD, Vice Dean for Academic Administration, Albany Medical College, who collaborates with the NBME on case-development.

The first workshop was held at and hosted by Albany Medical College. Two subsequent workshops took place at AMSNY offices in New York. A fourth workshop for upstate schools will take place March 1, 2010, 12-4pm, hosted by SUNY Upstate Medical University in the Setnor Building, Clinical Skills Center (544 Setnor). For more information or to RSVP, call 212-218-8920 or email MichaelAzark@amsny.org.

The Clinical Cases developed at the workshops are available to AMSNY member schools for use at any level of curriculum.
